The most common reasons families come to see me for therapy are for help stopping the destruction caused by anger. Their goals usually are to break patterns of unhealthy and unproductive communication, reduce conflict, and build a safe and genuine emotional connection. 

For the majority of my clients, the things that contribute to these problems can be underlying issues like differences in core beliefs about relationships and communication, underlying challenges with mental health or addiction, trauma or adjusting to significant changes, and difficulties expressing strong feelings (like anger, frustration, sadness, etc) in a healthy way.
